This post will be about comparing dumbo rats - Rats with slightly larger, lower ears-
to regular fancy rats
Ears
This is the main visible difference between dumbo and ordinary. Instead of the usual slightly pointy, vertical rat ears, dumbos have marginally lowered ears, rounded off at the top, giving them their sweet, innocent look. However, some dumbo rats have more tubular shaped ears!
Skull
Dumbo rat skulls tend to be flat and wide. They are also raised at the back, giving them their hunchback appearance. But normal fancy rat skulls are more bullet shaped, curving inwards halfway through.
Intelligence and behaviour
Hitherto, dumbo rats seem to have the same level of intelligence and the same behavioural patterns as a normal fancy rat. Some people, however, think that dumbo rats are cuter than normal rats! I personally think that all rats are cute :-3 !!!
